I love my career of being a
K-12 Librarian and Junior High Reading teacher because I
have always enjoyed reading. It makes my day when a student
comes up to me and says "This is the best book I have ever
read! Do you have and more?" Reading is something the
students will do for the rest of their lives whether it is a
book, a manual, or a newspaper. I believe that it is true
that the "more you read, the better you read and the better
you read, the more you read." The key is to find books to read that you
like. This brings me to the challenging, yet fun, part of my job,
providing books that are at the students reading level and ones they
will enjoy reading.
An added bonus with my job is that I get to work with all of the students
and staff of our school. They could not be better. |
