As long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher. As a
child I was lucky enough to have a Suzie Smart doll, complete with a
desk and she could spell C-A-T and she knew what 2+2 was. I spent a lot
of time playing school with that doll. I have a love for all children.
It is very challenging, but the end results are very rewarding. Another
encouraging part of teaching, is knowing that I am preparing them for
the next part of their lives. I want to set students on a path to
success in school and life. I want to teach them that there are
responsibilities and consequences in life. The best part of the day is
when the "light bulb" comes on and they truly understand what you are
talking about. I want them to know that they can be successful and that
I am there to help them achieve. The hugs from present and former
students aren't bad either. |
