Teens Against Tobacco Use

                  

What Is TATU?
Teens Against Tobacco Use(TATU) is a peer teaching tobacco prevention program.

The American Lung Association trains adults to work with high school students on the health hazards of tobacco use.

These adults then recruit and train high school students to serve as role models and teach children in elementary schools about the health hazards of tobacco use.

The high school students then go back and present information of the dangers of tobacco use to elementary children.

Facilitators must be non-users of tobacco, successfully complete the training course and sign an agreement of professional standards before teaching the program.
